Event Photography Tips

If you focus on event photography you can make quite a bit of money. It is a varied and widely sought after field of photography.

What to do

The key trick is in choosing your market slice. You must choose a slice of the market where people want to keep memories alive in print. It must also be an event that is hard to capture for a not professional so that they will need your services.

One idea is to go to kids sports events. Get permission from the coach to click pics for the parents watching and then start clicking away. If you turn up with a great big telephoto lens like the ones used for pro coverage of events, you will be taken seriously. Make sure you get all the children doing great action shots and then hand out flyers to all the kids’ parents watching with your web address. If you can write down the parents email address so you can email them the URL of you site then upload the pics to your web site that day and email everyone. If you have a simple shopping cart set up you can make money in a few hours as people pop in to see the pics and buy them for $20 or more a pop.

You can do a similar thing with weddings. Take all the normal shots as part of the wedding coverage but then get your URL printed on the wedding invites and all the other wedding materials and also get an email list of all the wedding guests, offer the couple a nice 20% discount for doing this and then take lots of extra pics at the wedding of the guests doing all the things they do. Upload all the pics to your site and send the emails. You will then make a lot more money than the 20% discount it cost you because then 20 or 30 people will be also purchasing your pics at $20 or more a shot straight from your site. You can also charge a higher price for high resolution pics.

The key is to just find a corner of the market where you can take the pics and then sell them easily online.

Dog shows, fashion shows, horse shows, car shows, livestock competitions, rock shows, – the list goes on. Keep your eye out in the events section of your local paper to see what is happening. Always ask for permission to shoot pics and if you need to offer the people 10% of the income if feel you need to so you can get easy access.

Cotton Candy Machine For Sale

For most grown ups this could be a blast out of the previous years. When I consider carnivals I remember of cotton candy, or candy floss if you are British, Fairy Floss if you are Australian.

You might be considering acquiring one and are now looking for a cotton candy machine for sale. There are plenty available, undoubtedly online and I could imagine if you were to get in touch with franchise suppliers of these type of appliances that they would even have some used ones for sale, also of course, new ones.

There is rather a varied assortment of these appliances, both for profit-making or domestic use. Rather a proportion of the commercial ones I have seen advertised are of 950W power, obviously the domestic ones will be lower.

It is rather interesting watching the strands become visible apparently from nowhere and watching it gathered onto a stick or into a cone. I think kids enjoy that almost as much as eating it.

The sugar content needs to be considered even though I don’t think it is enormously high. According to Wikipedia an regular portion is about an ounce, and an ounce of sugar equates to between 105 and 115 calories. So you make your mind up whether it is too much.

Maybe you have a notion for fixing yourself up to put up for sale cotton candy at your community fairs, this is a good thought and I am positive you should recoup any costs incurred with the acquisition very quickly.

It seems that cotton candy businesses include profit margins of 85% and even larger. Your start up costs are incredibly low.

Most communities have a lot of venues where you might set up your venture, sporting events, public markets, flea markets, fairs, parks, beach locations, any community occasion or procession.

It is totally probable to make $2 or $3 sales from 5 cents worth of sugar, and if you were to only lease the apparatus at around $125 per night this should contain provisions to produce around 100 cones. This represents significant proceeds wouldn’t you imagine?

A quantity of citizens are obtaining a household variety for use in their games room or if they are fortunate enough to have one, their house films room.

I appreciate that the appliances are considered not dangerous for youngsters to use by themselves the only restraint needed could be how many times they used it and simply how much cotton candy they were eating.

They might without doubt be the most popular childrens on the block if their house had a cotton candy machine.

Save the money by hosting party at home

If the occasion is not very special, it is better to make your home the venue for the party. It will certainly save you the money you would have spent for the venue.

If you think that your house is not that big; try and use your friends or relatives house. You might have to clean and set up the place but it is worth the saving you will do.

Don’t invite everyone

While organizing a party, you might think that you should call everyone, who invited you for a party at their place. But that’s not the right way to go.

Trim your guest list in order to save more money on your party. Invite the people who are really special to you rather than inviting everyone.

Event Photographer

When you are planning your wedding you are going to want to find an event photographer. You will want them to have acquired a few qualities such as style, motivation, experience and good communication. Event photographers will only possess these qualities if they are well trained and have lots of experience, so check out their past experiences before hiring them.

Every event photographer will have their own style. The photographer’s style should coincide with your idea of the type of wedding pictures you want. Otherwise a horrible experience might be the end result. Depending on the style that your event photographer will use will vary. Traditional and wild are two extreme styles of photographers. Photos of the bride and groom, and the wedding party are examples of a traditional style. Bizarre styles can be anywhere from being completely serious in all of the pictures to making funny faces.

An event photographer should be highly motive, try to find one who is. You don’t want to have someone who is lazy and sitting around missing all the good pictures they could be capturing. Motivation is not just about wanting to do the job, but finding a way to enjoy it and bring trust as well as good verbal communication to everyone as well.

Experience can only come to an event photographer through time. Make sure you question your photographer how long they have been in the business, where they attended school and for how long, and who they were employed with before they went into business for themselves (if that is the case). Asking these questions can help you make a clearer decision when picking an event photographer. If they are now employed by themselves you can find out what kind of quality they produced when they were employed by asking their prior employer. Its better to find out now even if it is kind of a sneaky way of getting the information.

Make sure that you are comfortable around your event photographer. And they should try to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when around them. Later on at the wedding, this will help them to capture the precious photos. If you are nervous around your event photographer you will see that feeling in your wedding photographs
