Upload all the pics to your site and send the emails. You will then make a lot more money than the 20% discount it cost you because then 20 or 30 people will be also purchasing your pics at $20 or more a shot straight from your site. You can also charge a higher price for high resolution pics.
The key is to just find a corner of the market where you can take the pics and then sell them easily online.
Dog shows, fashion shows, horse shows, car shows, livestock competitions, rock shows, – the list goes on. Keep your eye out in the events section of your local paper to see what is happening. Always ask for permission to shoot pics and if you need to offer the people 10% of the income if feel you need to so you can get easy access.

When you are planning your wedding you are going to want to find an event photographer. You will want them to have acquired a few qualities such as style, motivation, experience and good communication. Event photographers will only possess these qualities if they are well trained and have lots of experience, so check out their past experiences before hiring them.
Every event photographer will have their own style. The photographer’s style should coincide with your idea of the type of wedding pictures you want. Otherwise a horrible experience might be the end result. Depending on the style that your event photographer will use will vary. Traditional and wild are two extreme styles of photographers. Photos of the bride and groom, and the wedding party are examples of a traditional style. Bizarre styles can be anywhere from being completely serious in all of the pictures to making funny faces.
An event photographer should be highly motive, try to find one who is. You don’t want to have someone who is lazy and sitting around missing all the good pictures they could be capturing. If they are now employed by themselves you can find out what kind of quality they produced when they were employed by asking their prior employer. Its better to find out now even if it is kind of a sneaky way of getting the information.
Make sure that you are comfortable around your event photographer. And they should try to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when around them.
